h1. New RATE package
Steps which we have to do when we are creating new RATE package which has more components included (such as breakfast, dinner, spa etc.)
1. *Create new „Sell Item“
2. Insert that „Sell Item“ in „Rate Components“ folder
3. Create New Rate code (with room possibilities, prices and etc.)
4. Insert „Rate Components“ into new RATE code*
*1.* New Sale item: separate instruction how to create it you can see here [[New sell item]].
There are few differences:
• You have to specify, that tax are always included otherwise it will not be possible to insert this „Sell item“ in the „Rate components“ folder.
Please select correct sell item type:
*Product type* Product type
Choose one of the available options from the drop-down menu.
*Normal* Normal : Identifies the sales product you want to charge, both through reservations and via Touch Screen.
Note. Also used for charging calls via switchboard (configuration in switchboard ).
*Breakfast* Breakfast : Identifies the sales product you want to use as a breakfast meal calculation.
*Lunch* Lunch : Identifies the sales product you want to use as a lunchtime meal calculation.
*Dinner* Dinner : Identifies the sales product that you want to use as a meal calculation for dinner.
Important. Select the options correctly, these products must be connected to the straight lines, if incorrectly set, the calculation of the meals will not be correct.
*Complex resource* Complex resource : Identifies the product used as the main element of the line.
Important. This type of product allows you to choose the type of calculation of the tuition, if per person or resource. ( Straight line elements )
Note. It will be selectable only for resource groups of the " Daily "type.
*Simple resource* Simple resource : Identifies the product used for booking treatments.
Note. to configure these products, activation of the multi - resource moduleis required.
Example. Used for the creation of treatments such as " Relaxing massage 50 min ", " Massage with mud" , etc.
*Equipment* Equipment : Identifies the product used for booking through a limited quantity of products.
Example. Cradle, side rails, microphone, projector.
*Covered* Covered : Identifies the sales product used for counting the attendance of the Tables.
*Service* Service : Identifies the product used to debit a service charge.
*Separate account* Separate account : Identifies the product used to manage the accounts divided into equal amounts.
Note. It is possible to insert only one " Separate account " type product.
*Advance payment* Down payment : Identifies the product used for the issue of down payment tax documents.
Note. It is possible to insert only one " Down payment "type product.
*Meal Voucher* Meal Voucher : Identifies the product used as an increase, when the amount of the products charged is less than the value of the meal voucher.
*Cancellation penalty* Cancellation penalty : Identifies the product used, for charging the cancellation penalty of a reservation.
*Early departure* Early departure : Identifies the product used, for charging the penalty in case of early departure.
*Additional tax* Additional tax : Identifies the product used for the charge in the customer card of additional taxes.

*Stamp duty* Stamp duty : Identifies the product used to charge stamps used for documents relating to treatments (e.g. medical examinations, therapeutic muds, etc.)
*Payment commission* Payment commission : Identifies the product used to take advantage of the charge function of an additional fee during the payment phase.

• You *do not need* to isnert „Sell item“ in „Menu layout“, next step – insert it in „Rate Components“.
*2.* Insert "Sell item" in the "Rate components":

Then we have to choose our new „Sell item“ from the list and to show rules, how it will be counted:

Often it is calculated per person, is applied for adults and is included as part of rate price. [[What that means]].
Then press „Prices“ – here you have to show, what is price per person/per time. For example I chose „breakfast“ component where price is 5 eur. per person/per time. Also I have to show from when – to when this price is valid.

*3.* Next step – new RATE code creation. We can copy from already existing ones [[How to copy one]] or we can create absolutely New one:

Push „Insert“. How to fill *"Management"* column:

*Code*: to create code of RATE code
*Description*: name of RATE code
*Deposit Rule* and *Cancelation type*: if there are any of rules, you can put it on there. For example: this rate code can be „non refundable“, or with „1 day no show“ cancelation policy. It depends on hotel and it‘s rules.
*Room types*: you have to chose what kind of room types can be chosen to this rate code.
If it is RATE code which you use at the reception, put a check mark on „**Available at front office**“.
It it is RATE code which you use at your website or other sites, mark on „**Available in channel manager“ BUT ALSO** inform us, because we have to merge it with other sites from our side.
Press „Insert“.
*4.* On the* „Components“* column. Here you can insert Rate components (which you created earlier) which should be included in the rate code. Press „Insert“ then on „Rate components“, choose component which you want and press „Insert“. Also you can see "Main component" which is „Accommodation“ by the fault. If you have special "Main component", you can change it too.

Then on the „Prices“ column.

Push button „Insert“. Here we have to show:
N of people: number, which shows how many people can fit in this room type for this RATE code. (Child and babies included)
Description – name of the price. It can be „Price for all days“ or any other.

In the example I chose 2 types of rooms (standart and superior) for this RATE code. Also I chose 4 people as max number of people. Now I have to write, what price will be for one person, what price for 2 people, 3 people and 4.

In the example I chose: 50eur. for one adult, 80 eur. for two adults. 3 or 4 adults are not possible for this RATE code, but it is possible that the couple will be with children, so I wrote 0eur. for them. (it is free of charge for them) Max there can be 2 adults and 2 children in one room with this RATE code.

Last step: to map the price of the calendar. We have to chose our new price (just press left mouse button on it) and drag on the map (with left mouse button). And press „Apply“ bellow. This price which is on the calendar will be valid now.
